Disaster response takes a village! The UF VETS team has experienced incredible support from great partners during our time in Ft. Myers. Below are some of the groups who have helped our field hospital provide the best patient care and support to the southwest Florida community:
Donors
Our program is supported in large part through donations. Donations help us maintain and support our equipment and provide our teams with the necessary supplies to perform a response. If you’d like to contribute, donations can be made here.
Volunteers
In addition to our volunteer veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary students, we have had great support from volunteers local to South Florida as well as throughout our state thanks to the FVMA and Florida Vet Corps.

Veterinary Support
In addition to the support from personnel from area veterinary hospitals, several have also contributed medications and diagnostic tools and equipment to support the field hospital.
Special thanks to Zoetis for not only providing extra personnel, but also diagnostic equipment!

Food Donations
In addition to veterinary service, access to pet food in the greater Ft. Myers area has been limited. Thanks to ongoing support from a number of groups, the UF VETS field hospital has been able to serve as a distribution point for pet food. Some of our generous donors have included TenderCare Pet Salon and Day Spa in Ft. Myers and All Creatures Animal Clinic in Lakeland.
